Loading/unloading with lifting gear – securing the loads

Exceptional transports or abnormal transport are transports of loads that exceed the legally permitted maximum dimensions and weight for a ‘normal’ transport.

Within this sector Nooteboom is the leader in innovating and manufacturing appropriate and high-quality solutions for the transport of any kind of abnormal loads. The transport of abnormal loads with our advanced equipment requires a certain level of expertise and knowledge of the equipment, all the deviating regulatory requirements and of course a different style of driving on the road. The driver in open or abnormal transport must have expert knowledge and skills and always pay extra attention to the safe loading and unloading of rolling and crawling equipment. He must also take into consideration all the manufacturers’ conditions of use, the wishes of the machinery owners and/or rental companies.

Safe and efficient loading and unloading of the equipment when using a crane is important for the best possible and safest way of loading the vehicle.
