First extendible Manoovr with excavator trough for Van der Vlist

At Van der Vlist they are always looking to optimise their transport fleet with vehicles for abnormal transport that are even more efficient. Therefore Van der Vlist has added to their fleet the latest 5-axle extendible Manoovr semi low-loader to transport construction machinery weighing up to around 60 tonnes. When carrying excavators or demolition machines the boom can be placed in the trough so that the total height of the load is considerably reduced.

During the Nooteboom Transport Days and Open Day Nooteboom supported the Tim Foundation. After 3 amazing Days at our facility in Wijchen with more than 5000 visitors we are happy that we can congratulate the Tim Foundation with an excellent result of EUR 101,900.- and we are happy that we have contributed to achieve this. The Tim Foundation supports dr. Jan Smeitink at the Radboud UMC University in Nijmegen in his research to find a drug against the mitochondrial energy-sapping disorder ‘Leigh disease’.

Aertssen – The orbital highway project in Qatar

Since hardwood is getting scarcer and more expensive all the time, Nooteboom is looking for alternatives for the production of their trailer floors. An important starting point was that the alternative had to be equally as good as the current floors but preferably it would have even better specifications for application in abnormal transport. From this investigation bamboo composite emerged as the best alternative. In the meantime Nooteboom has been testing it in practice for nearly two years with extremely positive results.

In the space of one year Nooteboom’s ‘Manoovr’ technology has become a household word in the world of international abnormal transport. The latest innovation in the Manoovr programme is a version with an excavator trough. This option makes the semi low-loader even more versatile, especially for the transport of excavators or demolition machinery as the boom arm can be positioned in the trough. The excavator trough is available as standard on all semi low-loaders of the Manoovr generation that have up to six axles.
